What do your programs consist of?
Health risk assessments, lifestyle improvement program/services, Go for the Gold Wellness Program, and state-of-the-art fitness facility.

Where is Health Plus within the organization?
We are one of the four departments within Health and Wellness.

How does Health Plus support the organization?
Research shows that health promotion programs: reduce absenteeism; increase productivity; reduce health care, short-term disability, and workers compensation costs and claims; improve presenteeism; and promote recruitment and retention.

What awards have you won?
C. Everett Koop National Health Award; the Gold and Platinum Fit-Friendly Awards given by the American Heart Asssociation; the ACOEM Corporate Health Achievement Award, along with the other Health and Wellness Programs and the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness and Health- Shining Star Award.

How long has Health Plus been a VU Program?
Since 1991.

Is there a cost for any of your programs and services?
Only one program has a fee. "Employee Plus One" is a program where any facutly/staff member with a spouse/certified domestic partner on their Vanderbilt health plan may pay a membership fee for them to join Health Plus.

Do you offer programs and services within departments?
Yes. Health Plus staff is available to provide departmental programs and services. Also, departments can receive tool kits for providing their own programs. For more information, contact Health Plus.
